Demitasse Marriage Spoon Necklace

The Marriage Spoon's heart shaped bowl was a common design for wedding gift platters given to newlyweds of the early 20th century. The addition of the skull couple gives this necklace a modern edge. Available in sterling silver with white and blue sapphire eyes.

For this piece, Designer, Rachael Chyna White was inspired by intricately detailed silverware collections dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. This necklace is part of a collection featuring tiny spoons and knives draped horizontally or vertically from delicate chain necklaces each one representing a little bit of history. In the designer’s own words "There are so many connections between the silverware and jewelry, yet the reverence for silverware has been lost in today's culture. I wanted to create a collection that would bring it back."
