Rogues Gallery Diver Tee
|
|
Manufacturer: Rogues Gallery
|
One of a kind tees made from reclaimed vintage shirts, dyed and printed naturally in Portland, Maine. Each tee has its own feel and mark. All are made of soft cotton and have that broken-in, worn-in feeling you get from your favorite old tees. Note: no sizes and styles are exactly alike, but sizes are pretty true- if you are a large- you will probably take a large.
About the designer (from notcot.com): Not so far from Brooklin is Portland, a less rustic Maine
destination—and headquarters of Rogues Gallery, the vintage-style
clothing line established by ex-L.L.Beanie Alex Carleton. “The nautical
story at Rogues Gallery,” the designer says, “is very personal. Most of
us here are from coastal New England and have a relationship with the
ocean in some way.” Anchored around T-shirts, the Spring collection
expresses those connections directly (with salty stripes and ship
prints) and in more subtle ways. One of Carleton’s preoccupations is
with the way clothes become weathered, so Rogues Gallery red is really
faded salmon pink, and navy is a washed-out gray. “Adventure, style,
culture, freedom, bravery, and rum?” he says. “How could we not be
obsessed with the nautical world?”
